- This volume is bound with speckled leather spine and points and brown speckled paper covered boards with crimson edges to the text block. The front paste-down has 2 labels on the top left corner; "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" and underneath "Property of the LS Trust, 1986". Written in pencil on the front paste-down is "98-C02 fu (?)" and written in ink on the bottom right corner of the front free end-page is "Laur.s"; it is unclear if this is a previous owners signature. Stamped onto the reverse of the title page for Volume 2 is the circular atamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with inside "The Kenneth Monkman Collection".
