Bookplate – Cyril Alfred Gordon Coles
Description
A Collection of Almanacks 1739-1753, published separately and later bound together.
Cyril Alfred Gordon Coles was born in 1894. He was a partner in the firm of Cole & Hardie who were auctioneers, valuers and estate agents in Margate, Kent.
The bookplate features an image of a church and a small map of the "Isle of Thanet".
Object history
The book was purchased from the Monkman Estate in 2008. Single volume containing various almanacks, published separately and later bound together. The book is bound in marbled paper with a leather spine and corners.
