Description
This book contains volumes 1-4 of Tristram Shandy, and is the first of a five-volume pirated edition of the Works.
The page edges of each volume are marbled. The marbled page itself is single-sided and consists of a pasted-on piece of marbled paper.
Object history
A large bookplate with a heraldic device identifies a previous owner as Charles Napier Gordon of Hallhead.
