A new edition embellished with two caricature prints by Rowlandson and Newton published by Thomas Tegg. The text for A Sentimental Journey ends on page 179 and the previous owner additioned in ink 'Guess what', on the reverse of the final page is an advertisement for new books printed for the proprietor. Facing advert page is a preface to 'Steamers v. Stages', dated February 26th 1830, on Punning - "Punning is now the order of the day". This edition has bound within it 'Steamers, v. Stages: or Andrew and His Spouse an aquatic excursion by steam'. This part has 3 full page engravings and 1 tail piece by artist R.Cruikshank. Published by Charles Whittingham, Tooks Court, Chancery Lane, London. Also a copy of 'Memoirs of the Life and Family of Laurence Sterne A.M. Written by Himself'.
