This volume is bound in boards covered with dark green paper with red leather corners and spine. The front paste-down has 2 labels on the top left side "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" is "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Written in pencil on the top of the front free end page is "L.S.". On the reverse of the title page is a circular stamp in ink with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside. Some pencil marginalia throughout the text. There is some evidence that there used to be a book-plate or other label now removed on the front paste-down. Blue tint to edges of text block.
