This volume is fully bound in Marbled calf covered boards. The end-pages are comprised of single sheets of marbled paper "Shell Pattern" and all edges of the textblock are also marbled in Shell Pattern. Pasted onto the top corner of the front paste-down are 2 small white labels "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Written in ink on the reverse of the front free end-page is a previous owners signature "Emma Mac Dermott 1829". Stamped on the reverse of the title page is the circular stamp with "The Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" and inside "The Kenneth Monkman Collection".
