- Fully bound in leather with marbled endpapers. Book plate of 'Edward Cheney'. Pencil inscriptions on both front and back fly-leaf. Frontispiece by Hogarth been bound in at later date. Fully bound in leather with gold tooled border on both front and back cover. Spine has 5 raised bands with title stamp 'Tristram Shandy' on red Morocco leather. Underneath is 'I' stamped on black leather. The spine is decorated with stamped flower in gold. '1762' in gilt impressed on the tail of the spine.
