The Works of the Most Reverend Doctor John Tillotson, late Archbishop of Canterbury, containing 200 sermons... being all that were printed after his grace's decease. Now collected into two volumes.

Full page frontispiece of Tillotson by R. White (?). There are a previous owner's bookplates to the rear of the front board belonging to: Lock Rollinson and below for Edward Francis Witts (motto: Ante Obitum Nemo Falix ). On the front fly leaf Witts' name written in pen along with "Upper Slaughter" with a lengthly pen inscription regarding Tillitson's character. The volume is fully bound in leather with three embossed lines on the front and rear board. The spine has six raised bads with diamond embossed decorations in panels 1 - 6. Title piece label is missing but still visible "Tillots Works" and a single gilt 2. The front and rear board are embossed in the Cambridge style. Vol 1 of 2.
