Description
On the front pastedown is a bookplate with a crest and motto 'ne vile valis' belonging to Lord Braybrooke. Marbled boards with leather spine which has elaborate gilt tooling of intersecting gilt lines in a chessboard pattern. The head and tail of the spine are decorated with symbols including the sun and stars (?). It is likely that this set of nine may have come from Audley End. Ink stamp on the reverse of the half title.
