Image and Immortality; A Study of Tristram Shandy.

This volume is fully bound in grey/cream cloth with a decorated paper cover; the front and rear paste-down's and free end pages are comprised of single sheets of olive green paper. The front paste-down has 2 labels on the top "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" and "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". On the reverse of the title page is publication and printer information as well as a circular black stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" in the centre. There are pencil notes/marginalia throughout the volume.
