Donations

The Laurence Sterne Trust is grateful to everyone who supports its work

All donations, unless specified for a specific purpose, help to conserve and maintain the historic building of Shandy Hall and to support our educational projects and events. The Laurence Sterne Trust is a registered charity (1181127) and, if you are a UK tax payer, we could enhance your donation through Gift Aid, making it worth 25% more to us at no additional cost to you.

You can print a Gift Aid form here or contact us and we will send you one.

Ways of giving

You can make a single donation at any time, using the ‘Donate’ button on this page or by contacting us.

Regular giving, through your bank or Paypal, helps us to plan ahead.

You can also donate through the Paypal Giving Fund.

Did you know that whenever you buy anything online – from your weekly shop to your annual holiday – you could be raising money, at no cost to yourself, for Shandy Hall: The Laurence Sterne Trust ?  Visit Easyfundraising for further details. There are no catches or hidden charges and even small amounts will help the Trust enormously.

Fundraising

You could raise funds for us in a traditional way, such as holding a raffle or fundraising event etc.

If you would like to raise funds for Shandy Hall and the activities of the Laurence Sterne Trust, please contact us here to discuss ways in which you might do this.

Legacies and bequests

A legacy or bequest is one of the most significant and personal gifts you can make. Through your Will you could make a lasting contribution to our work. A legacy for the “general purposes of The Laurence Sterne Trust” is usually the most beneficial way of supporting us. If you would prefer to endow a particular aspect of our work please contact us to discuss how you would like your gift to be acknowledged.

Your solicitor will be able to advise on the best way to express your wishes in your Will.
