This volume is fully bound in green book-cloth covered boards with end-pages comprised of single sheets of brown paper and a gilt top edge to the text-block. Pasted onto the top corner of the front paste-down are 2 white labels with "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". A very faded signature, written in pencil is on the front free end-page with a book-sellers stamp to the top of the page. Stamped on the bottom of the title page is a circular stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with insid "The Kenneth Monkman Collection".
