This volume is fully bound in crimson book cloth with a gilt top edge to the text block, hollow-spine hardback. The front inside has 2 labels on the top left hand corner "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Written in pencil top right is "Ltd Edn Shakespeare Head 2 vols £25.00" and "C260 2 vols". Stamped on the reverse of the title page is the circular black stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" in the centre. Printed on the facing page is a brief history of "The Sermons of Mr. Yorick" including publication information. "Five hundred and thirty copies of this Edition have been printed by the Shakespeare Head Press Stratford-Upon-Avon of which five hundred copies are for sale".
