This volume is fully bound in tree marbled
leather. The front paste-down has 3 labels; Within the centre is a previous owners bookplate depicting a coat of arms with "Harry Foche Spencer"; also on this page are book seller (?) comments written in pencil. On the top are "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" and "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Written in ink on the centre of the reverse of the front free end page is "John Richmond, Jan 21st 1876" On the reverse of the title page is a circular black stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" in the centre. There are 2 pages of advertisments at the end of the volume.
