This volume is fully bound in speckled calf with red mottled edges to the text block. Pasted onto the top left corner of the front paste down are 2 small white labels "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986"; adjacent and written in pencil is "variant ose/g..?" & "p. fig 1 m p100" & "TSL 112". Written in ink on the top right corner of the front free end page is a previous owners signature "Saml Savage" with faded writing underneath in pencil. Stamped onto the reverse of the title page is the circular stamp with "The Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" and inside "The Kenneth Monkman Collection".
