The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman. Volume 5. The Second Edition

The volume has the original publishers paper cover to the spine and a slightly thicker paper front end-page. The leather spine, both the boards and the rear end pages are missing, and it is unclear what form the binding took. The front free end-page has a series of hand-written bibliographers notes. Pasted onto the top corner of the reverse of the half-title page are 2 small white labels "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Stamped on the reverse of the title page is the circular stamp with "The Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" and inside "The Kenneth Monkman Collection".
