Halifax and its Gibbet-Law Placed in a True Light Together with a Description of the Town...To which are Added, The Unparallel'd Tragedies Committed by Sir John Eland, of Elans, and his Grand Antagonists.

The volume is fully bound in tree marbled calf covered boards. The front paste-down has a large area of glue residue where a label was originally pasted. Written on the front free end-page is "J. Raine Newcastle-on-Tyne March 4, 1868". Written in pencil on the reverse of the front free end page is "by Dr, Midgley".
