"The Clockmakers Outcry against the Author of The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy. Dedicated to the Most Humble of Christian Prelates.

This volume is ΒΌ bound in green leather with gilt edge to boards; the boards are comprised of marbled paper (Shell pattern), this folds over onto the paste-downs. Paste-downs and end-pages are comprised of green paper (cream side facing the text block). Pasted into the centre of the front paste-down is the bookplate of "Thomas Bell" with image and "T.Bell 1797" inside the image. Top right corner of front free end-page is "9" written in blue ink. Pencil note on page III "Warburton BP. Gloucester 1759"
