Anthems for Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, and Eight Voices. As They Are Now Perform'd, In the Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of St. Peter, in York; In the Cathedral Church of Christ, and Blessed Mary the Virgin, in Durham; And, In the Cathedral Church of Blessed Mary the Virgin, in Lincoln. To Which is Prefix'd, A Table of the Preachers, and the Time of Their Preaching, in the Said Cathedrals.

The volume is fully bound in contemporary leather calf covered boards with end-pages comprised of single sheets of marbled paper (Turkish Pattern). The edges of the textblock are in gilt. Pasted onto the top left corner of the front paste-down is a small white label with From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall". Stamped onto the reverse of the front free end-page is "Bound by W. Pratt" and written underneath are booksellers marks & on the 2nd front fly-leaf is "Ellway" with "£5" erased from the top but just visible. On page VII Sterne's Uncle is mentioned - Dr Sterne.
