This volume is fully bound in marbled leather covered boards with green mottling to the edges of the text block. The end-pages are comprised of single sheets of 'decorated paper'. Pasted onto the centre of the front paste-down is a book-label with "Classe Dn. Catalogue de Marie et Mars, Libraires, rue Merciere, No. 46, a Lyon. 1793 No. 92/Sh sh". On the top left corner of the front paste-down is "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall". Written in pencil on the reverse of the front free end-page is "20f les 4 vol". Written in pencil on the rear 2nd fly-leaf are a series of biblipgraphic notes by KM.
