The Sermons of Mr. Yorick. Volume 2. Twelfth Edition.

This volume is fully bound in vellum over boards with 6 stitches in vellum on either side of the spine. Both front and rear past-down and free end-page are comprised of 1 page of marbled paper (Turkish?) which has been sewn onto the binding. The front paste-down has 3 labels a previous owners bookplate is in the centre on pink/salmon paper with a shield device above "L'esperance nous soutient" in capitols above "Richard Campbell Bazett"; and there are 2 labels on the top left side; "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall", underneath this is "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". On the top of the title page is a previous owners signature written in ink "Anne Harper". On the obverse of the title page is an ink stamp "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" in a circle with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside it. The catchword is to the bottom right of every page. A green silk bookmark is between the last page and the rear free end-page , where it has stained the paper.
