A Sentimental Journey Through France and Italy by Mr. Yorick. A New Edition

This volume is fully bound in leather over boards. The front paste-down has a previous owners signature "M.P. Manby" in ink on the top left hand corner with 2 labels below "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall", underneath this is "Property of the LS Trust, 1986. On the front free end-page are the following in ink "1784" top centre with "T Ramsey" underneath in larger writing but same hand. In a different hand and ink to the top right corner are possible booksellers marks. On the reverse of the title page is an ink stamp "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" in a circle with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside it. On the back paste-down is "41" in pencil top right corner. Opposite the title page is an advertisement for "An Elegant Edition of The Works of Laurence Sterne in Ten Volumes". Follwing page 340, 4 pages of "Books Printed for the Proprietors".
