This volume is fully bound in leather over boards. The front paste-down has 2 labels "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall", adjacent to this is "Property of the LS Trust, 1986. There are also 2 possible previous owners signatures; underneath the second label is the end of a word written in blue biro "...?" and beneath the labels written in ink is "Crasilore (?)". Underneath this is a previous price of "£25.00" and at the bottom of the page is "collated 9/22" on 2 lines; both of these are written in pencil. On the top right corner of the front free end-page written in ink is "2.82". The title page has a previous owners signature in pen top right corner "H (M?) Stewart". On the right of the foliate head device on the title page is a circular blue stamp "Ex Collectione Richard Barclay". The rear paste-down has "40" on the top right and "(125)" bottom centre, both in pencil. On the page immediately after the title page is an advertisment relating to the work and on the top of the first page of the volume is a vignette.The title page of the second edition has a device half way down as well as the circular blue stamp "Ex Collectione Richard Barclay" on the bottom right side.
