Page of a book taken out and folded up (located in plastic wallet) it contains ' A Speech made by his Grace the Lord Archbishop of York, at presenting an association, enter'd into at the Castle of York, Sept. 24, 1745. On the back of the page is a handwritten note saying '1745 Archbishop Speech - Names of Subscribers to the Yorkshire Association' and underneath pencil notes made by Monkman. Single sheet broadside, detacching along golds, 1/8th dettached. Laurence Sterne included in list of those present and Jake Sterne, Theophilus Garancieres. On Whatman paper (made by James Whatman the first). MS annotation on the verso title by Cholmley Turner.
