Edges of the text block are red mottled. Head and tail bands are of red and cream alternating threads. The spine has 6 raised bands, in the second panel is the title piece on a red morocco background with three gilt border lines "Chamber's Dictionary Vol. 1" on the third panel down "A ....... K".
