The Works of John Locke Esq. in Three Volumes (vol 2)
Three previous owner bookplates; one is of Sir William Lee Knt., it has a helm with a chained bear on the top of the armourial device with the mottoe 'Verum atque decens' with 'Mutlow sculp' left and on the right 'York St. Covt. Gardn.' beneath is a second bookplate belonigng to 'Willam Lee Antonie Esq.' The third bookplate is an armorial device with a chained bear and a prancing horse with fleur de lys on it's body with no owner's name. All three bookplates on the front paste down. Pen inscription reads 'Totteridge Park Library repaired May 1842 Aylesbury no. 11/19' [1] 1724 [11]
