A Sentimental Journey through France and Italy by Mr Yorick. Vol 2.

Two volume set of A Sentimental Journey fully bound in leather complete with brown solander slipcase, brown satin ribbon and lever mechanism to release the books from the case. Volume 1 has 203 pages and 8 pages of subscribers to the front of the volume. Front paste down has various book sellers notes in pencil and green pencil including '1st edition'. Opposite on the front fly leaf is the signature 'W. S. S. Saunderlands -'. There are also notes in pencil to the rear pastedown and rear flyleaf. There are stains to the edges of the front and rear pages, possibly caused by glue - the rest of the textblock is in good condition. This set was donated by James Pollak in his will (see CCWSH:1387a-i) and rebound at Winchester Binding with money collected at a memorial service for Terry Cunningham.5 raised bands on the spine, bands (including head and tail band) decorated with double gilt horizontal lines. Red morocco title piece in second panel with 'SENTIME-NTAL JOURNY' decorated with double gilt lines on all four edges. Gilt '2' in third panel.
