This volume is half bound in dark green and brown leather with green and gold vein marbled boards and end pages (may be printed marbled paper, note the repeated patterns on the volumes). The top edge of the text-block is gilt. The front paste-down has 2 labels; pasted onto the top centre is a previous owners book-plate with the name "Margaret Armitage Klatt; Mater Mar Ray" underneath decoration and the poem "Books are Keys to wisdom's treasure; Books are paths that upward lead; Books are gates to lands of pleasure, Books are friends, Come, let us read." Pasted into the top left corner, and partially over the book-plate is "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall".
