This volume is fully bound in mottled leather over boards, and the edges of the text block have red mottling. The front paste-down has 2 labels; "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall", underneath this is "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Adjacent and in pencil are the following notes on 5 lines; "KM S2 c2 "E in footnote p35 + p271 for 127 p203 for 203" and "SYII-1a". On the obverse of the title page is an ink stamp "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" in a circle with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside it.
