This volume is half bound in calf with marbled paper (Spanish on Turkish Antiqued Pattern?) boards. The end pages are comprised of single sheets of thich grey/green paper. The edges of the text-block are mottled red. The front paste-down has a large previous owners book-plate with the mottom "Fidelis" underneath a large armourial crest. Written in ink on the front free end-page is " See Vol I. Lent to the Guild of St. John of Beverley Library for the Deaf (?) By S. Oxley. Nov 20. 27 St. Ba...?". Previous owner Waldie / Waldey
