This volume is fully bound in marbled leather over boards. The front paste-down has 2 labels on the top left side "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" and underneath and partially covering the bookplates is "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Written in pencil on the front free end-page is "8 vols". Written in ink on the top of page v is "M.D. Hon (?) Elphinstone". On the reverse of the title page is a circular stamp in ink with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside. The catchword appears to the bottom right of every page.
