The Works of Laurence Sterne, M.A. In Eight Volumes.

This volume is bound in mottled leather over boards. The front paste-down has 2 labels; in the centre is an address sticker "Joel and Betty Downing, Dalehurst, Manor Close, East Horsley, Leatherhead, Surrey KT24 6SB England". On the top left side "From the Library at Shandy Hall". Written in ink on the top right of the front free end-page is "Henry Matthews" which has off-set. On the reverse of the title page is a circular stamp in ink with "Laurence Sterne Trust" with "Shandy Hall Library" inside. The 'Works' page has an elaborate border.
