This volume is bound in marbled tree leather over boards. The front paste-down has 2 labels; in the centre is a previous owners address sticker "Joel and Betty Downing, Dalehurst, Manor Close, East Horsley, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT24 6SB, England" and on the top left side "From the Library at Shandy Hall". On the reverse of the full works page is a circular stamp in ink with "Laurence Sterne Trust" with "Shandy Hall Library" inside. Written in ink on the top right of the page is "J.C. Downey 1939" (See the date in CCWSH:0295a)
