This volume is fully bound in marbled leather covered boards with gilt edges to the text-block. The end-pages are comprised of single-sheets of marbled paper (Shell Pattern). Writing, in pencil, has been erased in the past from the rear of the front free end-page. Written in ink on the half-title page is a previous owners signature "Elizabeth Wilkes's Book July 19th, 1812" & reverse of the half-title page, in red ink, is another previous owners signature "Mademoiselle C. Wilkes July 30th 1813. Malton" (possibly could be E. Wilkes). Written in ink on the rear 2nd fly-leaf is "Mademoiselle Elizabeth Wilkes Bootham York 24th July 1815"
