Tristram Shandy, Volume 1.

Hardback. This volume is half bound in marbled paper covered boards (Wide Comb Pattern) with speckled leather spine and vellum points. The front paste-down has a previous owners signature on the top "W. Owen, 1819" and 2 labels with "From the Collection at Shandy Hall" and underneath "Given to the Trust by James Sutherland, 93". On the reverse of the title page is a stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust " with "Shandy Hall" is on the obverse of this page. The frontispiece is entitled "Laurence Sterne" and is based upon the Reynolds Portrait.
