Hardback. This volume is fully bound in dark blue (grained) leather over boards. The end pages are comprised of single sheets of thich grey/brown paper and the edges of the text block are marbled (possibly a derivative of Italian Pattern?). The front paste-down has 2 labels on the top left sideare "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" and underneath "Property of the L S trust, 1986". On the reverse of the title page is a stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman collection" is on the obverse of this page.
