Original Letters of the Late Reverend Mr. Laurence Sterne; Never Before Published.

This volume is fully bound in leather calf over boards with green edges to the text block. The front paste-down has 3 labels; within the centre is a previous owners bookplate with the cypher "JR". Written in pencil are "u/us". Pasted onto the top left corner; "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" and underneath "Property of the LS Trust, 1986". On the reverse of the title page is an ink stamp "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" in a circle with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside. Written in pencil on the rear free end-page is "First Irish ed." & "(edited by William Combe?)". Other notes in pencil have been erased from the rear paste-down.
