Letters from Eliza to Yorick, Transmitted from A Gentleman in Bombay, and Now First Published.

This volume is fully bound in Tree Marbled leather covered boards and mottled edges to the text block. The front paste-down has 2 labels on the top left corner; "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" and underneath "Property of the LS Trust, 1986". Written in pencil underneath is "10/-" and in KM's hand "Despite the titlepage, the letters are not new, but a v. slightly altered text of previous edn." Written in ink on the top left of the 3rd fly-leaf is a previous owners signature which is illegible. On the reverse of the title page is an ink stamp "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" in a circle with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside. The rear free end page is covered by notes, written in pencil - which is faded and smudged in places.
