This volume is fully bound in speckled leather boards with red mottled edges to the text block. Pasted onto the front paste-down is a small white label woth "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" and "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Written on the front free end-page are some illegible comments. Stamped on the reverse of the title page is a circular black stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" in the centre.
