This volume is fully bound in mottled leather over boards. The front paste-down has 2 labels; On the top left side "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". There are the remains of a third label, possibly a previous owners bookplate on this page. The half title page has "Coriat Junior Vol 1. Part II" with on the reverse, "Entered in the Hall-Book of the Company of Stationers, According to Act of Parliament".On the reverse of the title page is a circular stamp in ink with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside. The catchword is to the bottom of every page. Within this volume is a short note written in biro "Coriat Junior. See long review in M. Chram Vol 39. pp 434" The spine has 5 raised bands which have impressed gilt lines either side and "3" also in impressed gilt. The boards are decorated with a border of 2 gilt lines and the rims have the remains of impressed decoration.
