The Sermons of Mr. Yorick. Volume 3. First Edition.

This volume is fully bound in leather and the edges of the text block have feint evidence of red die. The front paste-down has 2 labels; "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall", underneath this is "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Adjacent to these in pencil and scored out is "SYIII" On the obverse of the title page is an ink stamp "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" in a circle with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside it. On the top right of the front free end page in ink "?? 71 1767", this is very unclear and may be a previous owners initials and date and is also written in Volume 4. There is a printers flower underneath the title which is the same as in volumes 4 and 7 (but Volume 4 and 7 are darker). In this volume is a 24 page list of subscriber's names. The catchword is to the bottom right of every page.
