This volume is bound in marbled boards, Nonpareil pattern, with a tooled leather spine and corners. The front paste-down has 2 labels on the top left side "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Also on this page are various handwritten notes, in pencil. Please see original for details. On the reverse of the title page is a circular stamp in ink with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside. The volume has a thin brown material bookmark, slightly worn, attached to the headband. Throughout the textblock are various publishers devices/flowers.
