This volume is bound in grey covered boards with a blue buckram spine. The front paste-down has 3 labels; within the centre is a large Library plate with the coat-of-arms of "Manchester Reform Club". On the top left; "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath and partially covering the bookplate "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Written in ink on the title page is "To the Manchester Reform Club, E.M. Brockbank. May 25th 1954". On the reverse of the title page is a circular stamp in ink with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside. Printed on the reverse of the References Index is "Printed by Morris & Yeaman (Printers) LTD, 10, Short Street, City Road, Manchester, 15. 91390.8.50".
