The Broadway Travellers Memoires of an Eighteenth-Century Footman. John MacDonald Travels (1745=1779). Travels in Various Parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa, During a Series of thirty Years and Upwards. With an Introduction by John Beresford.

This volume is bound in dark red buckram over boards with purple edges to the top of the text block. There are 3 labels on the front paste-down. Within the centre is
a previous owners bookplate "This Book belongs to Jean and Gordon Hunter". On the top left hand side are 2 labels "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Written on the top right of the front free end-page is a previous owners signature which is illegible. See original. There is a publishers device, depicting a ship at sea, on the title page, and on the reverse of this page is an ink stamp "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" in a circle with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside it. On the reverse of the half title page within a decorated foliate border is a list of other publications by George Routledge & Sons, LTD.
