This volume is fully bound in brown/plum book-cloth covered boards, with end-pages comprised of sheets of lemon-coloured paper. This volume has been re-bound. Written, in pencil, on the front free end-page is a previous owners signature "Illegible" & "£30" and on the reverse of the page is "several publicatn". Written on the title page are previous owners signatures "H. Cormack 1853" & "Wm Vaughan". To the foot of the title page is "Konongsberg ..." & "1754 The only complete edition, others after this ? being abridged". Written in the same hand to the foot of page iv os "The author did not complete a 'Sequel' - having died in 1755"
