This volume is fully bound in leather covered boards in the Cambridge Calf style, with yellow edges to the text-block. Pasted onto the centre of the front paste-down is a previous owners bookplate with "Richard Langley Esq" underneath the armorial device. On the top left is a small label with "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall". Stamped onto the foot of the title page is a booksellers stamp "Sold by Ricrd. Manchlin. Bookseller Coney Street York". Written in ink on the rear free end-page is a previous owners signature "Joshua Halley. His Book 1742=3"
