This volume is fully bound in decorated colour glossy paper covers, with paper fold-overs, paperback. The inside of the front cover has 1 label on the top left side "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall". Printed on the obverse of the title page is copyright information relating to the volume as well as the circular stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" and inside "The Kenneth Monkman Collection". Written in biro to the top of the half title page is "For Kenneth Monkman with best regards and (belated) token of French interest in Sterne" the rest is illegible. Most probably a gift from Serge Soupel.
