This volume is bound in blue/grey paper boards with a grey/brown spine. The front paste-down has 2 labels on the top left side. "From the Collection of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with "Property of the L S Trust, 1986" underneath. On the title page is a small oval cut with an image of Sterne resting his head upon his left hand", and on the obverse of this page is a circular stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust" with inside "The Kenneth Monkman Collection". Many of the pages in this volume are still folded together and are unopened along the top or side edges.
