This volume is fully bound in dark blue leather, which has been tooled to take the form of 'Cambridge Calf'; with marbled edges to the text block. The paste-downs and end-pages are comprised of single sheets of thicker green/brown paper. The front paste-down has 3 labels on the top left side; within the centre is a previous owners bookplate "Peter Croft 1929=1984" with underneath "From the Collection of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". On the obverse of the title page is a circular stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust" with inside "The Kenneth Monkman Collection".
