The volume is fully bound in dark green buckram, with tooled boards and mottled edges to the text block. The past-down's and end-pages are comprised of single sheets of marbled paper (possibly Double Marble pattern). The front paste-down has 2 labels on the top left side. "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". With various marginalia notes written in pencil on the obverse of the front free end-page and on the half-title page. On the obverse of the title page is a circular stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust" with inside "The Kenneth Monkman collection". Also, printed on this page is "A few copies of this wook have been printed on Vellum, on Japan-naper, and on China-paper" (typo's in original).
